MASTER’S Theological Research Institute (MTRI) is a senior
theological research organization dedicated to advancing the
evangelical theological perspective. The motivation behind the
Institute is illustrated in what is
often known as the "Emmaus Road Experience." Following Jesus'
resurrection, He met two of His disciples walking on the road to
Emmaus. Though veiled from recognizing Him, they listened
intently as He "re-searched" the Old Testament prophecies concerning
the purpose and meaning of His incarnation. The effect of that
lesson was remarkable. "And they said one to another, Did
not our heart burn within us, while He talked with us by the way,
and while He opened to us the scriptures?" (Luke 24:32 KJV).
The more we know the Christ of the Scriptures, the brighter glows
the fire of truth that stirs the intellect, and empowers the spirit
of service in the Kingdom of God. The goal of the MTRI is the
advancement of this truth through theological study and research
directed at the promotion of the knowledge of Christ.
