MASTER’S
Theological Research Institute
is a graduate and post-graduate institution dedicated to advancing
the evangelical perspective through theological research and
application. The motivation behind the Institute is
illustrated in the
 Emmaus
Road Experience. Following Jesus' resurrection, He met two of
His disciples walking on the road to Emmaus. Though veiled
from recognizing Him, they listened intently as He "re-searched" the
Old Testament prophecies concerning the purpose and meaning of His
incarnation. The application of that lesson was remarkable.
"And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us,
while He talked with us by the way, and while He opened to us the
scriptures?" (Luke 24:32 KJV).
It is our belief
that the
more we know the Christ of the Scriptures, the brighter glows the
fire of truth that stirs the intellect, and empowers the spirit for
service in the Kingdom of God. The mission of the Institute is
the advancement of this truth through theological study and research
directed at the application of the knowledge of Christ. This
knowledge surpasses that of contemporary culture, and is the only
true source of wisdom. "Yet we do speak wisdom among those
who are mature; a wisdom, however, not of this age nor of the rulers
of this age, who are passing away" (I Corinthians 2:6 NASV).
